The listed design software is taught, utilized and supported in the college's Computer Studio.  When purchasing software, it is suggested that students use this list to be compliant with the college and its support.  Please note: Selected design software applications will be provided (at no extra cost) to students based upon the program in which they are enrolled and their status within the program (i.e. sophomore, junior etc.). We make every effort to remain current with the latest release of the listed software, however, if a new release is issued during a semester we will delay implementation until the end of that semester.

Microsoft Software
  • As a part of the University's Microsoft Campus Agreement, University of Idaho students will be licensed to download and use MS Window Upgrades (must already own a copy of Windows to receive upgrades - and upgrades to Windows XP only at this time) and the latest versions of MS Office (Mac Office Professional and Windows Office Enterprise versions). Due to the Microsoft Campus Agreement, access to this software is provided at no extra cost to students.
